   Having now been home for a couple of days and allowed the dust to settle following our recent stay with you I feel I must let you know how much we all (7 of us) enjoyed ourselves. Every element of the trip was handled very professionally from the initial enquiry through to departure. The whole experience was extremely enjoyable and it is very difficult to single out any specific area to direct extra praise.. However, given that our trip was to celebrate my 60^th birthday, I would have to say that the restaurant staff must edge it. I cant recall the managers name who was on duty for the Monday (29.08) and Tuesday (30.08) evening but he and his girls (Monica and Beth I believe) were absolutely spot on. Total professionals but with a comfortable, pleasant style. The manager was an absolute gentleman who brought my cake out at the end of the evening meal having been in collusion with my wife earlier-unbeknown to me. Our guests who stayed with us are still talking about the place-location, view, dining, staff & accommodation, golf and how much they thought it was top notch. In fact when they first arrived on the 30^th they each insisted that we looked at their rooms as they were so impressed. We would all recommend your hotel and would definitely like to visit again in the future. There is nothing we can say to suggest any improvement -its all very pleasing indeed. My Wife and I have just returned from a two night stay in your fantastic hotel. We have stayed at Raven Hall before and loved it, the views over the bay must be some of the best in the country. The room was beautifully decorated (as is the whole hotel) and very clean with views across to Robin Hoods Bay. The food in the restaurant was excellent and would give any Michelin star chef a run for there money! The staff made us feel very welcome and made sure we were well looked after. Now we are home (Friday Evening!!) I wanted to write and thank you and all your staff for giving us such a great time last week. The hotel was clean, the rooms well equipped, the staff courteous, and the food excellent. The grounds are also well kept.

Thanks for giving us use of the chapel. We used it each morning (except Friday) and Sunday evening. It was good to have the use of the piano-I usually bring a small keyboard, and print out the hymns etc when we stay in an "Ordinary" Hotel!!!

The Singer/Musician on Tuesday evening was very good and entertaining

We have been fairly regular visitors to Raven Hall over the past ten years and have always been most happy with the service, comfort, food and ambience you all offer.

This weekend we managed a last minute deal and stayed on Saturday night. Today on returning home, we thought it was  timely to say a huge thank you. Charming and courteous reception, friendly and very efficient waiting staff, an excellent maitre d' and the usual lively ambience.

We both want to say a sincere Thank you to all the staff at Raven Hall. From the initial enquiry the help and advice of Gemma gave Laura and Steve confidence to book the venue. This was further enhanced when we joined them to sample the choices of food for the wedding breakfast. We were all very impressed by the quality and presentation of food but more so by the unobtrusive and excellent service by the dining room staff.  On Thursday 21^st we were very grateful for the help and assistance when we took over the area to prepare wedding flowers. The day itself went without a hitch due mainly to Mahela with his quiet, calm professional attention to detail, we cannot thank him enough, along with all the staff who did such a wonderful job.

Raven Hall is a superb hotel in a fabulous setting. We have and will recommend it to everyone.

A particular mention goes to Mick for assistance during the day and Mahela during the evening. The food was of particularly good quality with many commenting on just how good it was.

The conference equipment and rooms were great with no technical problems at all.

The biggest complement I can perhaps pay the hotel and staff is that, although we had around 80 people there at various times through the week, the organizing team did not receive one complaint about anything related to the hotel

Have stayed in a number of hotels with a large walking group and this has been the best. The location speaks for itself, the staff were without exception courteous and friendly. They actually seemed to be happy in their work!!

The food was very very good without exceptions again. The kitchen even managed to provide quality food for our 40 plus party whilst also catering for a wedding and all on the day of the Royal Wedding so well done.

I don't often think I would like  to take my husband back to my walking hotels but I will certainly plan to revisit Raven Hall with him. Well Done!!

We stayed at Raven Hall as part of a walking group. My partner and I upgraded to a Studio lodge which was excellent value with magnificent views across to Robin Hoods Bay. There was a well equipped Kitchenette which enabled us to make a packed lunch for our walks.

The hotel staff were fantastic and couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. They arranged for breakfast to be served early to fit in with our walking program and allowed us to use a separate room to hold a quiz on one evening.

The food was superb and there is an extensive menu of vegetarian options. The chef also catered for a couple of people in the group who needed gluten free meals. The waiters were very friendly and again nothing was too much trouble.

There is a small indoor swimming pool which was clean and well maintained.

I would defiantly recommend the Raven Hall if you are looking for a quiet setting with stunning views and the walking available direct from the hotel along the Cleveland way was wonderful

Having Stayed at Raven Hall Some Years ago my friend Honor P and I were very, very impressed with the significant improvements made with all aspects of this hotel. The décor was tasteful, Clean and relaxing. The menu, extensive. The standard and presentation of meals were easily 4 star. Most impressive of all was the staff. Their politeness, professionalism, helpfulness and cleanliness were exemplary. The swimming facilities were clean and inviting. The unobtrusive provision of a small chapel was a delight for Honor. Many friends held large dinner parties at Raven Hall years ago, and following our super mini break they are already looking at available dates.

We came across this hotel when my dad was looking for a venue for a conference he was organising. The conference didn't happen but despite this we decided to sample the hotel anyway.

There are many plus points to the hotel-the location is perfect to get away from it all with lovely views over Robin Hoods Bay. The facilities are good and although the décor is a little dated this just add's to its charm in my opinion. But the things that make this hotel special are the food and the staff. The srt dinner was a bit steep at £28 but taken as part of a deal is actually very good value as you don't pay the full price. The food was first class and there was something for everyone and always of the highest quality. One night my mum who is a very fussy eater did not want anything on the menu (no reflection of the choice) and asked for an omelette and the chef was happy to oblige despite having a very busy dinner service, for the rest of us each dish was wonderful. I especially liked the chicken, chorizo and sweet potato starter. The breakfast's were a treat too with good quality bacon and sausages although the fried egg's were a bit hard if you didn't catch a fresh batch.

The staff are fantastic and simply did everything possible to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Just the right blend of friendliness and professionalism as well as very efficient service. This is not some smart boutique hotel so don't expect that sort of thing-it is simply a warm welcoming friendly hotel with good food and great staff. We've now decided this will be an annual trip for our family and I'm looking forward to next year already.

Just a brief note to say how much we and all our family enjoyed our lunch at Raven Hall on Sunday. We were celebrating my wife's 80^th and our eldest daughter's 50^th birthdays, and the staff were kind to allow us to bring our own cake, which the maitre d'Hotel brought in himself, with all the team following behind, and the candles all lit ready. A rousing "Happy Birthday to you" in which everyone joined made a perfect end to a very happy occasion.

We stayed with you over the weekend in room 209. I would just like to say how very much we enjoyed our stay. The hotel its views and location are second to none and breathtaking .The quality of food was something else and compliments must go to the chef and his team. The attentiveness of staff and politeness of everyone at the hotel was a pleasure to experience even down to the cleaner. Nothing was too much trouble for all your employee's. The size of the room and the views from it were a delight. I asked for sparkling wine and flowers in the room for when we arrived and they were there and the flowers were very nice.

I cannot fault one thing about the hotel the rooms and its staff at all.

We shall definitely be staying with you again within the next few months. I was prompted to book the hotel through the Deal hacker website and I will be writing to them as well.

This was our second stay here in the last 3 months, from the moment you walk into the hotel until the moment you walk out the door, the management & staff do everything possible to make your stay as pleasant & enjoyable as they can, the food is excellent, breakfast perfectly cooked, the Finnan haddock with poached egg & dinner service was fantastic, 3 courses of the most imaginative put together dishes we have ever eaten, the views from the hotel are amazing it just doesn't get any better. On behalf of my party I would like to thank you and all your staff for a splendid weekend. Everything- food, accommodation and service- were first class and we particularly appreciated the efforts made for our dinner in the Viking room on Saturday evening. The golfers in the party also very much enjoyed the golf course especially challenging in the wind on Saturday! And, hearing a rumor that you were considering abandoning it, have asked that you think again! It really is a unique attraction.
